Me and my partner live together but are really struggling at the moment. Our current financial situation forces us to cut corners wherever we can. Our average weekly food budget is around £10. Our mobile phone contracts are both £10 a month. We’re with the cheapest internet provider we could find – same goes for our gas and electric. We rarely have the heating on, and switch everything off at the mains when not in use.
Has anyone got any ingenious ways of saving money, or making it stretch further? Cheers, Ron.

You will need to prepare a fixed budget. Depending on how you are paid monthly, every two weeks.
Rent, electric/gas, food, phones, internet. You might be able to give up the internet. Usually this is just something we want but don’t really need. You probably have internet on your phone. Food you should be able to stretch your food by adding in cheaper foods such as rice, pasta, potatoes. Chicken and hamburger are usually the cheapest meats. Cut out sodas, cut down on cigarettes, no eating out, no buying sodas at a gas station. Buy exactly what is on your list at a grocery store. You need to meal plan, route plan when driving to save on gas. If you are wanting to make more money either change employment or find a way to gain skills of interest to employers or you should go back to school.
